Successful candidates will work as part of an international team in a fast-paced environment and gain practical experience working with top financial traders analysing and executing trades in 200 markets equity indices, commodities, interest rate products and FX.
In the past nine years, Positive Equity has expanded its graduate programme significantly with over 50 graduates learning the skills required to trade. During this time, Positive Equity has moved to larger premises in Donnybrook and has expanded its workforce to 60 people across trading, IT and finance.
Commenting on the launch, John White, Positive Equity partner and co-founder said: “As part of our continued growth we are looking to recruit 25 apprentice financial traders for our ‘It’s My Time’ paid graduate training programme. We are looking for people who have a strong record of academic accomplishment, are highly numerate, competitive and those who would enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic working environment. We already have a diverse range of talented individuals who have benefited from the practical experience of working with and learning from top financial traders including top computer programmers; chess masters; poker champions and elite athletes. The recruitment campaign video highlights the highly competitive dimension in the day-to-day work of a trader. It demonstrates the mindset of a committed individual parallel to an elite athlete of the calibre of Mayo footballer Aidan O’Shea who can bring that winning mindset to a career in financial trading and to Positive Equity. Trading can be an enormously rewarding career for those with the right skills and who have the ability to take calculated risks.”
Aidan O’Shea, GAA Footballer added: “I am delighted to be involved with Positive Equity’s ‘It’s My Time’ Graduate recruitment programme. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are competitive and high achievers with a passion for winning.”
