DXC Technology signs contract with the HSE to deliver a new integrated financial management system (IFMS)

DXC Technology (NYSE:DXC) has signed a contract to deliver an Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) to the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Ireland, which either directly or through its funded partner agencies is the national provider of all of Ireland’s public health and social care services in hospitals and communities across the country.

The HSE’s Finance Reform Programme is establishing a new finance operating model, to include a single, nationally integrated financial management and procurement system underpinned by SAP S/4HANA. This single platform will replace multiple legacy finance systems which currently operate independently.

The IFMS Programme will deliver:
• A modern finance system using the latest technology to enable streamlined, national standard accounting and procurement processes;
• More accurate and timely reporting to inform better decision making in the delivery of value for money services;
• A single national view of financial information with enhanced budgeting on a service needs-based basis and
• A world-class, customer-focused shared service centre.

Rowan McGrath, managing director, DXC Ireland, commented: “DXC is delighted to have been selected to work with the HSE in implementing the first phase of this important technology-based element of the reform programme. Standardisation of finance and procurement processes on a single enterprise platform is essential for the delivery of modern health services in Ireland. We look forward to deploying our enterprise technology stack expertise for the successful implementation of IFMS in the HSE and its large funded partner agencies."
